Railo Technologies is mostly known for the Railo server so far. And this if of course a good thing since it is a great (and now Open Source) product. But that is not all that we do. The reason I joined the company was partly because of the great server technology we create but also because there is some great people here that know a LOT about developing CFML applications.This is not just limited to our own engine but we obviously have experince with other engines, in fact personally I have something like 12 years experience with ColdFusion. Railo UK is another side of Railo Technologies, what we do here falls into various categories:

Product Development: We are developing some toolkits that will really speed up your development. We know that with CFML you can rapidly create applications, but we are working to make that even faster. Currently this project is called "Romero" and I shall be showing what we are getting upto as soon as we get it out of pre-alpha.

Extension Development: Railo is a fantastic engine, but we want to have ways for people to easily extend and install functionality on their server, to that end we look into existing projects and creating new functionaly, so our job is to certify that the code runs and everything is essentially of high quality before it becomes an officially supported extension.

Configuration, Migration and Deployment: Not all clients want to use our CFML Engine, which is fine, but we have some great experiences in configuring and tuning your installation to suit your application needs. Of course, we also provide migration support if required for your application if you do choose to use Railo. We also can provide consultation on Cloud based deployments and best hosting strategies for your application

Application Development and Consultancy: We have some great developers and lots and lots of experience in developing scalable appliations. If you need extra resource to develop that application you can of course contact us to develop it with or for you. We are very familiar with frameworks such as ColdBox, ModelGlue, Reactor and ColdSpring so we really can deliver a nice and tidy mantainable application.

Training and Mentoring: We can provide your team with training on various topics from CFML development, Frameworks and Development methodologies (such as version control) as well as active mentoring during a project.
