The origin of name of Railo

December 8, 2009 · By webrat · 2 Comments

So, ages ago we posted up the origin of Railo and where the name comes from. Micha actually tracked down the episode and gave us a little clip. It came from Star Trek Enterprise, Season 1 - Episode 25. I think this may solve some of the, 'how do you pronounce Railo?' questions.

So, there ya go. :) If you hear any of the CFML related podcast pronounce the name differently, feel free to heckle them and point them to this post.

Then shouldn't the name be spelled differently? That's like me saying, My name is Gary, but it's pronounced 'Greg.'

@Gary: Yes, technically the correct English spelling would be Rhylo.

Gert mentioned on the history page:
Rhylo (if you say it in English, it is written Railo in German)
