    It depends wteher you use Solaris (Enterprise OS with support/patches from Sun) or an OpenSolaris distribution like SXCE (OpenSource OS without support/patches Solaris Express Community Edition).If you use Solaris you have to install the latest version of the lu-tool and all patches which are listed in doc id 72099 first. If you use SXCE you have to install the lu-tool from the newer SXCE-DVD/CD first (the SXCE-Version/build which you want to upgrade to), which is done in the example. In SXCE there are no patches available, so there is no patch to install. Instead you have to do an OS-upgrade for the new build.
