Railo 2.0 released

September 10, 2007 · By Gert Franz · 8 Comments

On friday August, 17th the new version of Railo has been released.Since this is our final release (version 2.0.0.007), now all further updates and patches can be retrieved in the Server Administrator.
The update comes with a slight redesign of the website. Many things have found their way into the latest version. One main goal was to increase the performance in order to keep up and overtake other engines. Find it out yourselves.
You can read more in our documentation about the latest release and the features that have been introduced in Railo 2.0.
Many customers already trust Railo 2.0. I will blog about the latest launches in the upcoming days.

Have fun using Railo.

    Hi Andy,

up early :-) I am looking foreward to Scotch 008. So count us in. I guess we have some further cool stuff to present by then.
Yes we are very proud of Railo 2.0. We still have very much to do, but anyhow. We try to keep up the pace...

Congratulation... can't wait to test it with our application. One question: is railo 2.0 compatible with transfer ORM?

    Hi Daniel,

I got the tBlog application running on Railo. But I had to change a few things in Transfer (around 5). This was just in order to see it working :-)
We are using the test unit of Transfer at the moment in order to support it in one of our upcoming patches. Maybe 2.0.0.010 (we have 007 at the moment :-)
You must know that Transfer ORM is in fact a CFMX application which uses many internal classes and assumptions about classes, which are not guaranteed in other engines. But we're close.

Hey guys, the new Express (Railix) version for Windows doesn't work, at all. I click start.bat and nothing happens. Upon investigation, start.bat refers to lib/start.jar which doesn't exist. I think maybe you guys forgot to include Jetty. In fact, the whole directory that was extracted from the ZIP file contains no files with the string 'jetty' in them, and no filenames with that string in them either. It's totally non-functional. Please fix it, since I'm eager to start using the new version 2! Thanks guys!
