So, this is probably confusing to some and I thought I'd try to clear this up. It's possible to setup Railo to run a task every x hour, minute and/or even seconds. You'll want to log into your machine and go to the Scheduled Task page ( e.g.: http://{your server}/railo-context/admin/web.cfm?action=services.schedule )
Step 1:
The above form is what you see if you have no pre-existing scheduled tasks created. Fill out the forums, take note of the "every..." drop down box label. It's important that you leave this alone because it means that you want to run this on an arbitrary schedule.
Step 2:
Step 2 is a rather large image, so here's a link to it so you can see the whole thing. Just know that once the initial task is created, you then have to define what you want every... to be. It defaults to 1 hour. If you want a task to setup every minute, then change it to 1 minute instead.

This would be a lot clearer and the corresponding tab could read "Custom Schedule"...
