Great!!! First meeting in Tampa called off due to strike at Lufthansa.

What an odyssey. Everything worked well, got to the airport in time and then it started. I had to run from one check in counter to the next and back to the first. So after finally getting to the gate ready for boarding, one of the ground crew members told us that the flight is delayed due to a strike of the ground and catering crew at Frankfurt airport. I notified Donald immediately and hoped for the best.
After a delay of two hours, the plane was finally boarded and we took off 2:30 hours later than scheduled. So I was arriving just in time in Atlanta and was able to pass the passport control and the customs quite fast, just to find out that the plane I was supposed to take down to Tampa was broken and therefore canceled. Great.
So what to do? Directly fly to Detroit? Not possible since all flights are fully booked. So I will fly down to Tampa, do NO presentation (which I am really sorry for!!!) but at least meet some of the people from Jagged Peak the ones that build Edge the CFML shop software Davidoff uses. If you are in the Tampa area and you were supposed to attend today's presentation, I am really sorry for the cancellation, if you want to complain, you can do it here: www.lufthansa.com for the strike and www.delta.com for the broken plane.
Sorry again folks. And many thanks to Donald Bickel from the Tampa CFUG for all the help and support.

This calls for an impromptu visit to the BACFUG!

Flights direct to SFO for only 422 CHF!

    True...

We'll be back for the Open Source tour later this year anyway, so if Sean is interested, it would be a pleasure for us. I'll drop him a note. Hope that I can record this nights CFUG event so that the attendees from Tampa who were to attend can still watch what I was supposed to speak about :-)
