Railo @ MuraCON

August 31, 2011 · 5 Comments

Railo keynote at MuraCON

We just came back from MuraCon in Sacramento that took place last week on Thursday and Friday (25th & 26th of August). We were represented by a larger portion of the Railo team. Sean, Mark, Tanja, Denny & Gert were present there and we met several people from the community to talk to them about Railo, how they use it and what things they would like to have in the next version. We were very pleased to hear that almost everyone told us how happy they are with the speed of the execution and the easy update process.

We were able to sort some bugs out with Greg Moser from Slatwall, so that now Slatwall works fine with the latest version of Railo 3.3 (which is 3.3.0.027) and we saw the excitment about the shortly upcoming release. We had some very interesting conversations with Matt Levine from Blueriver about the clustering capabilities of Railo and on how easy it is to use the clustered cache and the session storage. Mark, Denny and Gert showed off some of the great features of Railo 3.3 and 4.0 with the first demo of Railo 4.0 Alpha (in this case the CLI).

Mark's and Gert's slides.

Thank you everyone for visiting us at our booth and talking to us about Railo and on the different aspects on how to use Mura in an enterprise clustered environment. And many thanks of course to Blueriver who organized this great first Mura conference.

We will definitely be back next year.

Railo welcomes a new team member: Denny Valliant

April 01, 2011 · 15 Comments

It is my great pleasure to announce a new Railo Technologies team member: Denny Valliant!

Denny is well known for his awesome contributions to the CFEclipse project as well as the most awesome cfdistro project.
Denny is joining the Railo Server Engineering team, to help out with the development of Railo Server as well as helping on a number of Railo Consultancy projects that we have underway.
Over the next few weeks I am sure the community will be very impressed with the strides we are making towards Railo 4.0 and with Denny on board, you can expect awesome developments coming out of Railo Technologies!

We think he is a great addition to our team!

Meet the Railo Team at cf.Objective() 2009!

May 12, 2009 · 4 Comments

Gert, Mark, Peter and Sean will all be at cf.Objective() 2009 this week. Mark, Peter and Sean are all speaking (on non-Railo-specific topics) but all four of us will be available to answer any questions you have about Railo as well as the support and consulting packages that we offer. I expect you'll be able to find us in the bar every evening - and the opening reception on Wednesday evening - but we should be easy enough to find wherever we are throughout the conference! cf.Objective() promises to be an awesome conference and we're all looking forward to the great sessions and to meeting everyone and hearing your Railo success stories!

What is Railo UK? It might surprise you.

April 03, 2009 · No Comments

Railo Technologies is mostly known for the Railo server so far. And this if of course a good thing since it is a great (and now Open Source) product. But that is not all that we do. The reason I joined the company was partly because of the great server technology we create but also because there is some great people here that know a LOT about developing CFML applications.
